๐ฆ AeCanary monitoring tool
[2021-May-24 12:26] This is a hosted version of AeCanary monitoring tool. It is meant to protect the interest of exchanges, miners and all other users of the Aeternity blockchain.
It provides monitoring of the chain and listening for early signs of a malicious behaviour, especially a 51% attack detection. In order for you to use the tool, you need an account. For that please contact the Aeternity Crypto Foundation.
The work on this tool had been supported by ACF.

Statistical analysis
[2021-May-28 14:57] A new functionality is delivered: a statistical analysis of the past X days of the exposure of every exchange. Fences are calculated for every exchange and going above a fence triggers an alert. This is yet another layer of bells and whistles against 51% attacks.
Improved messages
[2021-May-24 12:38] Dashboard messages are improved:
- HTML support - they allow setting markup in order to build messages with a better context. This is allowed both in the message body and footer.
- Message size - messages used to be limited to 256 characters and now the underlying DB representation allows longer messages.
- Pinned messages - by default messages are ordered by their date of publishing. Now admins are allowed to pin messages, meaning they will always show on top of the list. If there are a couple of pinned messages, they are still ordered by their date of publishing. Pinned messages have a icon in the top right corner.
Introduced messages feature
[2021-May-21 17:26] Now AeCanary supports messages on both external and internal dashboards. This log here is exactly what messages are.
Documentation is ready
[2021-May-21 10:00] Documentation had been revisited. There are now explanations for different settings and how to install. You can check it here: https://github.com/aeternity/ae_canary
